*Jason Salmon / Postman 1

Jason Salmon is excited to be making his debut with the Lama Theater Company. He is best known as a standup comedian performing throughout NYC. He has performed improve and sketch comedy with National Comedy Theater, The PIT and UCB. He most recently appeared on the traditional NY theater stage as Turk in Like Younger’s Imitating Life at St. Clements Theater. Other notable roles include Chief Brody in Jaws the Musical, Peter in Eastern Standard and Marc in Meeting (which he also wrote). Jason has appeared on the gig screen (in several forgettable indie films), the small screen (Orange is the New Black, 30 Rock, several commercials) and the very small screen ( a lot of ridiculous sketches). Kate Taney / Work-Weary Woman & Beautiful Woman

Kate Taney (taw-nee) received her MFA from The Actors Studio Drama School, and has been a finalist for entry into the renowned Actors Studio. Favorite school credits include Lula from Dutchman, Cassius from Julius Caesar, Margaret from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Harper from Angels in America. 

Film work includes Adam Scheiner’s The Artist and The Olympian, in which she blends both her passions for acting and painting.

Kate is also a published blogger on The Huffington Post and a playwright.

Laura Hooper / Woman in a Hurry

Laura trained in London and New York. Her one-woman kitchen show CRUMBLE has toured to packed houses in NYC, London and Northern Ireland. Theatrical highlights include Aphrodite in Cupid & Psyche (The Barrow Group), The Queen in The Persians (Amphitheater tour, Cyprus), Olivia in Twelfth Night (London Parks) originating roles for Supermarket Shakespeare in Supermarkets across London, the Tango Dancing Girl in Hothouse (Arcola Theatre, London), Natasha in Three Sisters (The Theatre Museum, Covent Garden) and devising a show for Miramax. Laura’s debut film Cat On The Matt which she wrote, produced and starred in was recently screened at the Take Two Festival in NYC. Joe Mullen / Work-Weary Man & Man in a Suit

Joe Mullen is a Chicago native that transplanted to NYC to attend the prestigious Tisch School of Performing Arts at New York University. He received his formal acting training at The Atlantic Acting Studio under the tutelage of the likes of Scott Zeigler, Anya Saffir, Charles Tuthill, Josh Pais and Kristen Johnson. He has performed in and produced several off-off Broadway plays and a handful of independent films. Most recently the short film, Early Decision(Jordan Kalms, dir; William Maxfield, prod) was selected to the 37th Starz International Film Festival in Denver, CO. 

 

*John William Short / Hopeful Man & Inspiration

A founding member of the Mass Transit street theater company, John Short has acted in many productions at the Irish Arts Center including Shadow of a Gunman and Freedom of the City. Lately he's performed primarily with the St. Jean's Players. His favorite roles are Louie in I Paid Enough by Jay Fink, Morel in Hot'l Baltimore, directed by Amy Wright, and Teacher in Philadelphia Here I Come directed by Jim Sheridan.

Danny Blanda / Work-Weary Man & Man in a Suit

The youngest and newest resident to New York City, Danny graduated from Columbus State University where he earned his BFA. There he studied the Meisner and Lessac techniques. The Places You'll Go... is his first NYC production and hopefully not his last. He is honored to be a part of this dedicated team and hopes to only build on this show's experience.
